recepticle=<b>Wednesday, February 22, 2006</b><br /><br /><b>hello darkness, my old friend</b><br />dear interweb user,<br /><br />hello, my name is lawrie. you might have heard of me; i'm very famous. i am king of google and my father invented myspace. at weekends, he likes to load w3c compliant websites into a sling, fire them off into the air and shoots at them. haha, i made an elitist coding joke.<br /><br />if you have been referred to my site from <b>windowsmedia.com</b>, could you do me a favour and tell me <i><b>why</b></i>? over the past few weeks, approximately 25%25 of all my hits have come from windowsmedia.com, which appears to be a microsoft-run media search engine. unfortunately, it doesn't pass along what users have been searching for in its referral header, and microsoft don't apparently don't answer any of their publicly listed support email addresses.<br /><br />since it don't have <i>any</i> media anywhere on this domain, and still dizzily recoiling from the dmca cease-and-desist i received last year, i'd like to know what microsoft think i'm hosting on my site.<br /><br />if those <b>fuckers</b> get me in trouble again, i'm going to... well, i'm going to write the email equivalent of eating a barium enema while a bear in a party hat sings 'i know a song that will get on your nerves' and chewbacca constantly punches you in the kidneys. <i>that</i> will make bill gates think twice about giving me more hits.<br /><br />wait...<br /><br /> - posted by lawrie at 2:56 PM ~ <u><a href="asfunction:loadComments,114062137822260771">comments</a></u><br /><br />
